Cancer Specified Disease Protection Insurance
According to the American Cancer Society's Cancer Facts and Figures, 2004, about 2/3 of all costs relating to the treatment of cancer are non-medical.

Allstate Workplace Division's supplemental cancer insurance benefits can be used to help pay the difference between what primary medical coverage pays and the total costs (medical and non-medical) of care. We offer 3 different cancer policies from which to choose. The Heritage Provider is a competitive policy, with benefits that closely match today's methods of treating cancer. The Heritage Series provides benefits for cancer plus 20 other specified diseases. Heritage Advantage is a simplified, five-benefit indemnity plan including a significant first occurrence benefit. Plans available in multiple benefit levels to suit individual and family needs. An optional Return of Premium Rider is available with Provider and Advantage.

Critical Illness
As medical technologies and treatments improve, more people are able to survive critical illnesses yet the rate of consumer debt has also risen. A Critical Illness policy pays a lump sum benefit upon the diagnosis of a covered serious illness. In addition, it can help meet the mounting debts that often occur during and after a serious illness. Some examples of a serious illness are Heart Attack, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, and Alzheimer's Disease. A critical illness policy has portable benefits and no reduction of benefits after insured reaches a certain age. In addition, equal benefit amounts are available for each family member when the employees buy family coverage. Critical Illness insurance may be right for you if your family is caring for children or aging parents, you are a professional in an industry where disability coverage is unavailable or unaffordable, or if you are otherwise worried about your finances being able to survive a critical illness.

Accident Insurance
According to Injury Facts, 2003, published by the National Safety Council, on average there are about 2,330 disabling injuries every hour during the course of a year in the United States. And about 37% of all hospital emergency department visits in the U.S. are injury related. An accident can wreak havoc on your savings if you're not prepared. That's why there's supplemental accident insurance. It gives you a cushion to help cover medical expenses and living costs when you get hurt unexpectedly. You can choose from On- and Off-the-Job Coverage or Off-the-Job Coverage only. Benefits include Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Hospital Confinement, Disability, Dislocation & Fracture, Ambulance Services, and Medical Expenses. For an additional premium, you can add riders to Extend and/or Enhance the policy benefits. You can also add Sickness riders to either policy, making it an economical way of providing accident only or accident and sickness benefits for you and your family.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance
Our hospital indemnity insurance, referred to as SHOP (Supplemental Health Options Policy), because it is a plan you build yourself when you "shop" for benefits that help satisfy your individual needs. For an additional premium there are 9 optional riders available in addition to the base plan (may vary by state). The base policy pays a daily benefit for hospital confinement. You "shop" for additional benefits from a list that includes an initial hospitalization, surgical and anesthesia, emergency room accident, inpatient, outpatient, at-home nursing, transportation, accident disability, and specified disease (cancer, heart attack and stroke) disability benefits. Simplified underwriting makes applying for coverage easy.
